“The Fork Collapse” analyzes the consumption, reliance, and stimulation of media through the exposure of media’s tendencies of overstimulation, algorithms, and unpredictable nature. By eroding and displacing live video content and using strings of generative code Morris Worm (Owen Greenfield and MAR) curates the sounds and visuals in real-time to create a performance built around their bittersweet connection to media. Focusing on the self-aware contradictions of creating in today's creative climate, Worm breaks the norms of what is traditionally is presented in a concert setting by being at the mercy of spontaneity and unpredictability.
